KARHU AND MULIERIS INTRODUCE THE LATEST MESTARI COLLECTION

This fall, KARHU has partnered with Mulieris to introduce the latest additions to the Mestari collection. The story of all four colour ways is beautifully told by photographer Sara Lorusso, and captures what it means to carve out a space where one can feel at peace.

Mulieris is an independent magazine and multidisciplinary platform based in Milan. They celebrate art created by women and open up space for inclusive dialogue around gender, identity, and representation. Through Mulieris Magazine, they share the voices of both emerging and established artists. The goal is to bridge creativity, equity, and visibility.

The photoshoot was born from the desire to tell the story of the world around us from an intimate and personal perspective - an inner world that often doesn’t align with the outer one, pushing us to seek refuge in our deepest essence.

In a time when reality feels increasingly difficult to inhabit, carving out a corner of positivity becomes a necessary, almost revolutionary act. Each individual searches for places, real or imagined, where they can truly be themselves.

KARHU brings us through this personal and intimate imaginary, adapting to our protagonists’ personas with colours that evoke the natural elements of the earth, the sky, and the human body.

The stories of Alyssa and Barbie intertwine and reflect one another: a subtle dance between the landscape of the soul and the physical world, between the artificial and the natural - two visions that merge, contaminate, and complete each other, creating a fragile yet powerful balance.

The result is a visual narrative that celebrates the complexity of identity and the importance of finding or inventing a space where one can feel, even just for a moment, understood and safe.
